Title of Position: Collections Specialist

Position Essential Functions Responsibilities
- Work with management to achieve established goals for accounts receivable, cash collections and outstanding client balances.
- Manage aging report through consistent contact with over-due customers via both phone and e-mail.
- Creates credit memos / settles disputes by working with sales, QC and billing clerks to gather information and draft memorandums in a timely manner
- Analyzes aging trends and identifying areas that require the greatest attention.
- Partnering with collections management and staff to support collection efforts while also gaining an understanding of the underlying processes that may be creating collection challenges.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience required, with a preference for candidates who have experience specifically in Accounts Receivable, Credit, or Collections. Additional relevant experience is a plus.
- Experience in construction, concrete, and/or manufacturing highly preferred but not required.
- Thrives in a fast paced and high volume environment.
- Must show a proven track record for achieving month end goals & meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
- Outstanding relationship skills as well as customer service skills.
